Resumo
O presente estudo teve como objetivo relatar os achados clínicos, citológicos, histopatológicos e terapêuticos de um caso de pênfigo foliáceo em um cão atendido em uma rotina clínica veterinária. O paciente apresentava lesões alopécicas multifocais circulares, áreas hiperêmicas e crostosas distribuídas predominantemente em tronco dorsal e ventral. A abordagem diagnóstica incluiu exames hematológicos, sorológicos, raspado cutâneo, citologia cutânea e biópsia para exame histopatológico. A citologia evidenciou infiltrado neutrofílico degenerado sem presença de microrganismos, enquanto a histopatologia demonstrou dermatite pustular subcorneana multifocal associada à presença de células acantolíticas, corroborando o diagnóstico de pênfigo foliáceo. O tratamento foi instituído com prednisolona e posteriormente associado à ciclosporina, resultando em melhora clínica significativa, embora tenha sido observada recidiva após interrupção terapêutica. Os achados clínicos e laboratoriais observados reforçam a importância da associação entre exames dermatológicos complementares e histopatologia para o diagnóstico definitivo do pênfigo foliáceo canino.
